2010 Active RFID Tags
The foundation of Automatic Identification and Data Capture at CSS is the Radio Frequency IDentification platform it has developed since 2003.
The communicators
This hardware platform consists of a small discreet low power short duration radio transmitters (phobs and tags or in PCB form) that transmit a unique identity code. This can be on demand or continuously and in a security application both for restrictive access or panic alarm as well as continuous monitoring. A replaceable Lithium Pill power cell ensures a long commercial life. This is the Active platform that all applications derive their function.
The intelligent monitored zone
The small receiver is the monitoring, and the actuating part of the CSS hardware platform. It identifies the CSS signal on a tight bandwidth and reacts to this signal. The receiver has a number of options and setting that defines its role. The receiver has a 2m radius to open air conditions at a 100m radius and is easily adjustable on site. This defines the zone which is to be monitored.
The software completes the package.
This universal hardware platform provides the common infrastructure that software interprets for the needs of the user. Where the use is for a simple application it is embedded or for distributed information to a recognised use is an off the shelf solution. In addition for custom requirements the software SDK package allows quick integration to clients own databases. Such as payroll, security or stock control.
